The M62 class CoCo diesel locomotive was first delivered by Lugansk to Hungary, and it is an oddity that this Hungarian designation was also used for the 721 locomotives built for the USSR. 154 locos class DM62 were built to work with missile trains, and similar locos locos were built for the CSD, DR, Cuba, North Korea and Mongolia. They are listed in this Russian publication, which includes 13 pages of technical history in Russian, an English summary, and 84 photographs with captions in English and Russian. (St).
